  • Netball Match

    Mon 07 Nov 2022

For the first time since Covid hit us, pupils from local schools have started playing in the netball and football leagues. A netball team from Fordcombe travelled to Penshurst on Monday, narrowly losing 4-3 to our local competitors. Well done for the sporting endeavour from all. Further matches, and a match report from our netball captain, Holly, will follow. The football match was called off due to a water-logged pitch. This will be re-arranged.

    Amazing!

  • Super Sports Day

    Wed 06 Jul 2022

The sun shone, it was dry and everyone had a smile on their face throughout. Super to see each child moving down the track, all focused on balancing bean bags or balls on bats and to see so many parents involved with the parents race—a great way to finish the event.  Well done to all the Year 6 pupils who took their turn to douse the adults at the end of the track with the Fordcombe traditional ‘Waiter Race’. Thank you to all those that came and made this such a special day after two years where it had disappeared from the school calendar. It’s good to be back!

A fantastic Tuesday at Carroty Wood... we've been kept busy with some exciting, challenging and muddy activities. We've had to persevere, respect, forgive and hope to complete everything, but we've shown our Fordcombe values in abundance.

  • Bikeability

    Fri 10 Jun 2022

Year 6 pupils were put through their paces last week with the team from Kent County Council. Starting on the playground, pupils got to grips with basic signaling and maneuver, before going out on the roads to earn their Level 1 and Level 2 Cycling Proficiency badges. Well done to all.

  • Islamic Art Workshop

    Tue 24 May 2022

Great to have an artist in school to lead Oak class in creating some Islamic art. Angles, circles and precision are very important. It was interesting to see the art coming together through the use of compasses and rulers.
