Fordcombe Primary School is fully committed to safeguarding and the promotion of the welfare of all children in our care. Working together with a variety of agencies, we ensure the appropriate arrangements are in place to assess, identify needs and support our children and families.

Online safety is part of Safeguarding in our school and Safeguarding is the responsibility of everyone in our community.

The school's Designated Safeguarding Lead is Mr Andrew Miles (DSL). Our Deputy Designated Safeguarding Leads are Mrs McBride, Mrs Esther Bell and Mrs Julie Burton.

These same officers will provide support, advice and/or signposting in relation to any online safety concerns including any allegations of cyber-bullying. 

Parent Online Safety Newsletters

Online safety can be a concern for parents especially with the fast pace that technology changes. Parents need regular up-to-date information about how they can protect their child/ren. At Fordcombe, we issue a monthly Parent Online Safety Newsletter produced by the Knowsley City Learning Centre, a non-profit organisation that supports schools with online safety.

CEOP is the Child Exploitation and Online Protection Centre.

CEOP help children stay safe online. If someone has acted inappropriately towards you online, or to a child or young person you know, you should report it. It may be sexual chat or someone asking you to do something that makes you feel uncomfortable or someone being insistent on meeting up. Whatever it is, if it feels wrong, it probably is.
