  • Netball Match

    Thu 02 Mar 2023

On Thursday the 2nd of March, Fordcombe played a netball match against Hever Primary school. We had decided the positions. I was centre, Marko was goal keeper, Gracie as defence, Emma as goal shooter and Emily as attack. We had marked our players and we were off. We had the ball first as they got to choose which goal they could shoot from first. It was a few minutes in and Emma decided to shoot and it was a goal! Emma had shot our first goal. Later on we had scored 4 more goals by Marko and Emily. By now it was half time so we had a drink of water and we were ready to play again. Now we were winning by 5 goals. Just then Alice and me had decided we would shoot and it went in. Hever had scored one goal by now so it was 6-1 to us. It was now the end and we finished with juice and biscuits and a big cheer for Hever. Written by Holly.

  • Fordcombe Choir perform at the Pamoja Hall

    Wed 01 Mar 2023

On Wednesday 1st March, our school choir disappeared off to Pamoja Hall to sing two songs that we had been practicing over the past couple of weeks. There were going to be lots of other primary schools performing with us, singing or playing their own songs that they’d practised. When we arrived, our first impression was wow, this place is massive! Rows and rows of white seats, looking down at the stage we were to perform on. We sat on two long rows, watching all the other schools perform. There were drums, ukuleles, and of course, singing! The time flew by, and suddenly it was us. We walked on stage, and got ready to sing our first song, Smile. It went perfectly! Next, we sung a song called One and a Million. In my opinion, this one was the best. Everyone sang so well! When it was over, everyone gave us a long round of applause. When we were walking off, Emma and Ava even gave their own little bow! By the time everyone walked out, we could feel the happiness and triumph in the air. We, and all the other schools, had done amazingly. Written by Olive.
