Organised by South East Coast Ambulance NHS Foundation Trust and Kent Fire and Rescue Service (KFRS), Oak Class took part in the Restart a Heart 2021 programme.
More than 30,000 people suffer cardiac arrests in the UK every year. If someone nearby knows how to start CPR immediately before the arrival of the ambulance, the patient’s chances of survival double.
Our year 5 and 6 pupils now have the skills they may one day need to save a life.
Beech class had a tour of a local castle last week down to the dungeons, along the curtain walls and up the motte of the bailey.
The ‘murder holes’ in the gatehouse seemed to strike a chord with some, the thought of boiling oil and water being poured on the plucky assailants proving pretty memorable!
