Year 6 Safety in Action visit

Year 6s were involved with local services on Friday morning as they learnt about how they can keep themselves safe, the consequences of knife crime and drugs, the dangers of high voltage electricity that course through power lines and how the emergency services interact. One year 6, Joseph, told me that more people drowned in Kent inland waterways than around the Kent coastline last year and that before swimming in any body of water, you should check its depth, what’s on the bottom, the temperature and the speed of any flow. Wise words – stick to St. John’s over the summer holiday!
