Visit from Shackleton Expert

On Thursday 20th October Oak class had a visit from Stefanie, a self-confessed 'Shackleton obsessive'.

She spoke to us in detail about Shackleton's fated1914 'Endurance' expedition to cross the Antarctic. We then looked at some of the amazing photographs that were taken of the crew and their many adventures.
We finished the session by role-playing Shackleton's dramatic journey over the South Georgia mountains to find help to rescue his crew.
Thanks go to Mrs Treutenaere for organising the visit from Stefanie.
