Victorian Artefacts in Oak

Oak class had a historian from the Tunbridge Wells museum on Wednesday morning to show pupils a range of Victorian artefacts, and explain how the people of the time used them and what their lives would have been like. Pupils handled and studied many interesting Victorian objects, many of which were over 150 years old!  A great way for the pupils to gain knowledge about this period in history from a local expert.  Handling real artefacts is a great way to learn about the past. Please visit Oak class to see some of the reports we produced.

As part of Mrs Watling’s theme on the Victorians, this ‘Marvellous Middle’ will be followed by a ‘Fabulous Finale’ which is a visit to the Spa Valley Preserved Railway in early December.
