Sports Day Success

Sports Day took place today with a full programme of sporting events for pupils right across the school. The morning was taken up by two inter-house competitions, a Tag Rugby and a Netball tournament taking place with all the pupils from Elm and Oak classes involved. well done to all those taking part: the sportsmanship and sportswomanship on display was great.
With the league format then leading into a final and 3rd and 4th place play-off, all the pupils got to the chance to improve their teamwork, their ball skills and their playing tactics through competitive sport.
Many thanks to Emma Tamkin for coming in to the school to referee the netball competition.

The afternoon was led by the pupils in Year 6 who once again impressed with their leadership skills: a rotation of events was organised and led by these pupils for all the other pupils at the school.
Well done to all who again showed their respect for others, enjoyed the events and cheered their own and other teams.
Many thanks to the Parents' Guild for providing refreshments for the afternoon's activities and all those parents that came to support and join in. We look forward to next year.
