Safety in Action Workshop

Year 6 pupils took part in a workshop at the end of last term aimed at raising awareness of issues that may affect them as they move to secondary school. Organisations that attended and topics covered included the fire service, police, rail safety, RNLI, electricity board, road safety, strangers and drink/drugs. The pupils got the opportunity to undertake a series of hands-on activities and to question experts in the various fields. The workshop helps pupils to understand how to manage the risks, perils and pitfalls of growing up and becoming more independent.
