Pupils impress at Sevenoaks Prom

Mrs Hughes took thirteen pupils to perform in the Sevenoaks Prom on Wednesday afternoon. Of the eight schools that took part, Fordcombe had the largest contingent of musicians which is a real testament to Mrs Hughes and the time and effort that she has put in over the last year to improve music provision at school. With a practice in the afternoon and then a performance in the early evening, all the children performed admirably, impressing all who watched.

Mrs Hughes did a great job organising this entire event for local schools again this year. She has been ably supported in school by Mrs Shackleton with pupils learning the pieces that they would play with the full orchestra of sixty-five pupils.
