It was fantastic to see every child dressed up in Victorian clothing to visit Preston Manor. It was great that everyone had gone to such effort to make the day a memorable one. As soon as pupils stepped into the grand entrance hall of Preston Manor they were immersed in Victorian life and the duties of a servant.
The terrifying housekeeper, Mrs Storey, put the pupils to the test by ordering them to clean the house, make a dessert, plan a menu, wash and iron clothes, beat the carpets and much, much more.
Many thanks to all those parents who helped supervise the trip, all getting into the spirit of the day by dressing up, and all those parents who took the time to help dress up your children: a highly enjoyable and educational day!
