There has been a lot of PE taking place in school over the last year or so. Pupils have been involved in an increasing number of events and competitions (gymnastics, dance, hockey, cross-country, tag rugby, football and netball), we have had Sports Leaders working at school with younger children and we have increased the number of hours that KS2 pupils do PE at school to two per week. We have re-scheduled the way that we teach swimming so that we are making use of Holmewood House and lastly, we have increased the number of after and before school clubs that we offer, so that children have more opportunities to get involved with sport at school.
Many thanks to all those that continue to volunteer their time each week to run clubs, as well as all those that have ferried children back and forth to all these sporting events. The school has been awarded the PE Gold Mark which is recognition of everyone’s hard work and effort. Well done everybody.
