On Friday 15th December, Oak class celebrated the end of their Victorian Topic.
The children enjoyed a morning of Victorian schooling courtesy of ‘Mrs Bat’ (Mrs Watling in disguise) and practised writing with ink pens which got a little messy.
A breaktime table top sale run by Oak class pupils for other children across the school and in aid of Barnardo’s also proved very popular with everyone getting involved.
In the afternoon, Oak class parents were invited in and the children shared their ‘Lady of Shallot’ poem performances and all the amazing work in their books. Oak class have really enjoyed looking at The Victorians since September, highlights were our trip to Preston Manor and writing our own ‘Just So’ stories and sequels to ‘A Christmas Carol’.
