Oak Class visit the upper and lower houses

A lot went on at Westminster before the half-term break – and it all kicked off when Year 5 and 6 visited. Maybe Ted told them exactly what should happen to sort the Brexit impass and how to get beyond all the infighting and the game playing. We don’t know for sure… but maybe our visit led to events on Friday when Mrs May gave a date for her resignation! The children had a great time touring the House of Lords and the House of Commons, linking in with the Parliament Week that Mrs Watling led and organised in the autumn term. A great day in London and a real lesson in democracy.
