Oak Class visit Preston Manor

It was great to see the children in Oak class climb aboard the coach last Thursday dressed as Victorians. The pupils had a great day getting to grips with the sort of tasks that the servants and maids would have been expected to do in 1870. The photos show the children had a great time, with the experience linking to the book they have been reading in class (‘Street Child’ by Berlie Doherty) and wider learning about Doctor Barnardo and his homes for the orphaned children in London’s East End.
