Oak class 'stunning start' to their work on the Mayans

Before the Mayan feast could commence Oak class chose their Mayan king. Once he was appropriately dressed in headdress and cloak, the children tried out some modern equivalents to Mayan food (think Mexican and you get the idea).
Everyone tried some of the guacamole, salsa and soured cream before trying a simple tortilla of maize (sweetcorn) and Mexican beans.
Finally we enjoyed a small taste of a Mayan treat...chocolate!
Have a look at our photographs - can you guess which foods we preferred?
