Oak class make water clocks

On Friday Oak class used recycled fizzy drink bottles to make simple water clocks. They used a timer to measure the flow speedĀ of the water and marked their bottles with intervals of time. We learned that bottles with a larger hole had a faster water flow and so would be better for timing faster activities.

After this, the childrenĀ used their water clocks to time activities such as reciting the alphabet and holding 'staring' competitions.
