NSPC / Childline Visit

On Friday Oak class were visited by Linda and Becky from the organisation Childline. They spoke to us about feeling happy and safe, and what to do if we ever had any worries at school or at home. They brought with them a giant speech bubble creature named 'Buddy'!
One of the things we learned was that Childline is a free service for children that is open 365 days a year (even Christmas day). They help children who are worried about something. When you call them you can talk to a friendly counsellor privately and you don't even have to tell them your name.
Children can contact Childline on 0800 1111 or visit the website to play games and get advice at www.childline.org.uk/buddy
