National Cross-Country News

Benji was selected to run for Kent in the National school’s Cross-Country Championships at the weekend. The race was in the midlands, run around the parkland of Prestwick Hall in Leicestershire.

The cross-country team (complete with crazy hair for comic relief) sent him off with a signed banner for luck.

Up against the best young runners that the country has to offer, Benji came a very creditable 117 in his race of 240 finishers and the year 5 boys' team came second overall so gained silver medals which were presented by Jenny Meadows.

Many thanks to all the volunteers who run Friday’s cross-country club; for inspiring the pupils to be active, to compete and to experience these amazing opportunities.
