Mask making and drumming workshop

On Thursday 5th June 2014 Beech Class were lucky enough to participate in a mask making and drumming workshop.

During the first session, everyone decorated an African mask using traditional designs. Each of the colours represented something for example white - innocence and gold - wealth. The masks looked stunning and will soon be on display in the classroom.

After break time the children were also able to learn how to play sounds and rhythms on a djembe drum. It was great fun and our instructor John taught us a great deal.
