Hockey team step-up a level

After winning the local Tonbridge schools’ competition in March, our Year 3 and 4 hockey squad went to the Kent finals last Tuesday in Chatham. As you would expect from an all-Kent final, the standard was a real step-up from the local competition. Despite not winning, the team got better and better through the rounds and were ahead in the last game at two separate points before losing to a couple of late goals. Many thanks to Mrs and Mr Fulham for organising and running the after-school practices in the build up to this competition and for generating a real buzz around field hockey – something that I hope will continue next year.
