Beech Class went back in time to 1666 during their Great Fire of London workshop. All the children thoroughly enjoyed engaging with the drama activities offered to them. First children began with topic related songs and drama warm ups. Then children created a timeline of historic events to better understand when the Great Fire of London happened. They created freeze frames of events during the fire itself, had a chance to question Samuel Pepys to find out more and finally worked as a class to show how the fire spread through London. There was in depth discussion about the historical period and the science behind the spread of the fire. A great way to start our topic!
