Great Fire of London Finale

Pupils in Year 1 and 2 had a great start to the new term as they filed out onto the playground to watch their very own great fire on Tuesday afternoon. The Elizabethan houses that pupils had created over the past six weeks of term went up in flames out on the field, the fire moving quickly from house to house, aided by the wind and the wooden construction of the houses – just like the original fire started from the Pudding Lane bakery in 1666.

A great way to end this unit of work. Many thanks to Neil Davies (Weld Done) who came into school to organise this spectacle.
