Elm and Oak classes continue to correspond regularly with partner schools in South – West France.
Recently, Elm class learnt about the colourful French 1st April tradition of ‘Poisson d’ avril’, when they received an exciting package full of paper fish made by French pupils. In return, Elm class children have sent self portrait drawings with French descriptions of themselves.
In Oak class, pupils have been learning French vocabulary for time, days and months. Using this knowledge, we have been looking at a school timetable sent by French pupils. Fordcombe children quite like the idea of ‘mercredi après – midi ‘ off school, as it’s done in Bordeaux!!
