Many thanks to all those parents that came to see the Character ‘Dress-up’ Parade on Thursday afternoon and then took a trip into classes to see what children had been up to during Book Week. Great to see the excitement that dressing up as a favourite character can bring. The week followed on from the visit of Sylvia Bishop on Monday who came to tell us what it is really like to be an author. Throughout the week we had a reading safari where children could go and read with older or younger members of the school, a very successful book swap and finally the Book Character Parade. A lovely end to the week which really showed how everyone at school values books and reading for pleasure. Many thanks to Mrs Saxty for organising such a fabulous week.
