Elm Class have recently been learning about buying various fruit and vegetables in a French market..and some have been trying out their French phrases for real at the Groombridge Farm Shop!
Mademoiselle Kylie, a 'real-life' French lady, is happy to converse with the children in French while they buy apples, aubergines, olives.
Bravo....to those pupils who have been brave enough to have a go, and who have been awarded an achievement certificate. And Merci...to Kylie.
Also in Elm Class, pupils are finding out the French words for the different parts of plants...la graine, les racines etc. Today, they have planted 'une graine' of their own and hope it will grow if they talk to it in French!!
