Elm Class VE day

Pupils in Elm class held a VE Day on Monday which rounded off their learning on the Second World War. Pupils had the opportunity to make spitfires and decorate Union Jack cakes before being joined by some of elder members of the wider community in the afternoon who shared their experiences of VE Day. Many thanks to those parents that joined the class for a VE Day party and who got into the spirit of the afternoon by dancing the Jitterbug with the pupils.

Mrs Hood and Mrs Pearce have had a great time teaching this series of lessons: the VE Day celebration was a great way to round off the topic.
