Elm Class have very special visitors

I was told last week that two grandmothers were coming in to school to talk to children in Elm class about World War Two, one of whom had been in the land army. As I worked out in my head how old someone would be to have to have been in the land army at the end of the World War, I did question this with ‘Are you sure?’ so it was lovely to see Mrs Reeves and Mrs Wealands in school sharing their experiences of working in the land army and of being evacuated as a nine year old to Bristol. Pupils were very privileged to hear first-hand about events that seem such a long time ago.
