Christmas Fayre

The hall and Beech class were transformed on Saturday afternoon for the inaugural Fordcombe Christmas Fayre. There was a great deal to see and do, from playing games and winning prizes to choosing and wrapping presents from the Secrets Room, to creating snow globes, making gingerbread biscuits and having Christmas face painting done.

Many thanks to all those parents who donated time and energy to this fun, festive event, either in the form of running stalls on the day or providing resources. A special thank you must also go to Charlotte Fleetwood who instigated and ran the event for the PG, and her crack team of helpers, including Sophie Dean and Jenny Quilter. This definitely added something a little Christmassy to the school calendar.

Pupils from the school choir led parents in a celebration of the season around the Christmas tree after the Christmas Fayre, ably led by Mrs Hughes and Mrs Shackleton. Some new additions to the carol pantheon were sung by pupils, before more traditional songs were sung by the watching adults. All watching were impressed by the quality of singing from the choir.
