Beech Class Lifeboat visitor

Pupils in Beech class were treated to a visit from Mrs Jan Pearce on Tuesday who came in to talk to them about the work that the men and women of the Royal National Lifeboat Institution undertake, the equipment they need and the boats they helm, as well as the fact that the organisation runs entirely on donations. An interesting start to the this term's theme, this visit brings right up to date the learning that pupils are currently doing about Grace Darling and her endeavour to save life off the coast of Northumberland.  A great start with more to follow.
