Beech Class impress with ‘shoe-box’ gardens

If you’ve undertaken the morning school run over the last few days, you may well have seen Year 1 and 2 pupils coming into school with what look-like very plain looking shoe-boxes. Take a closer look, and you will find that these boxes open up to give a huge array of different gardens and habitats, all designed and created by pupils, that link in with their theme on gardens. Please pop your heads into the classroom to see some of these creations which will be displayed so that other pupils can see them.

Continuing with the theme of growing and changing, there are caterpillars currently munching away in Ash where pupils are looking at life cycles, as well as eggs being incubated in the Year 5 and 6 classroom where pupils are looking in more depth at life cycles and the reproductive process.
