Bake-off success

Well done to the almost thirty pupils that entered fairy cakes into the Fordcombe Bake-off. The standard was high and the creativity was amazing. Special mention goes to Alex whose cakes were topped with the different shaped leaves relating to the class names at school.

Independent judges Isobel Smith and Alison Shiels ate a lot of cake as they gave marks for taste, creativity and texture. The overall winner, who will represent Fordcombe against 14 other schools in an inter-school Bake-off at Knole Academy, was Isabelle. She will now need to bake a Victoria sponge against the clock with only a Year 9 helper.
