Last Friday Ash Class were lucky enough to enjoy a beautiful sunny day at Drusillas Zoo! Linking to our 'Polar Places' topic this term, we started the day with an education talk about the Humboldt penguins at the zoo. Morris was dressed up as a penguin and at the end we got to meet an enormous snake and John the Chinchilla!
After learning all about the penguins, we went off to watch them being fed. It was so exciting to see the penguins whizzing around in the water - it looked like they were flying.
After lunch, the children enjoyed a visit to the play areas, visited the other areas of the park and had a trip on the carousel and train.
The children represented Fordcombe perfectly and we all had a wonderful day!
