Ash Class - Trip to Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve

We were very fortunate with the weather for our trip to Sevenoaks Wildlife Reserve, as we spent the whole day outside at the Forest School site. The children helped to collect the wood for our camp fire and placed their own logs around it to sit on. The children were then able to have a go at lighting their own fires. We made hot chocolate on the fire and sat around it to eat our lunch. In the afternoon the children all made shelters for their woodland animals - a badger, a squirrel, a hedgehog and a fox. The trip was a great experience for the children to manage their own risks and build some independent skills.
