African Art in Beech Class

Pupils in Beech Class made a Stunning Start to their Africa topic, creating some striking (and enormous!) traditional masks.

We must thank local artist Julia Stockwell- Hamid for leading our creative workshop. She explained to the children how the masks are used in ceremonies, inspiring the pupils to make their own quite intricate and imaginative designs. The children really enjoyed making the masks; we think they make for an impressive sight!
