A Visit from a Hedgehog

As part of our Hedgehog topic, Ash Class were lucky enough to be visited by a hedgehog from Folly Wildlife Rescue Centre.

Jessica told us all about different wildlife that hibernate and answered all our questions. The children were then able to watch the hedgehog snuffle about on the table. It took about five minutes but he finally came out of a ball and we could see his little face!

We learnt all about what hedgehogs like to eat and where they often hibernate during the winter months. We learnt they only come out at night so if you see a hedgehog out during the day, please take a look at the Folly website http://www.follywildliferescue.org.uk/as it might need some help!
