Both the football and netball squads travelled to away matches at Chiddingstone last week, traditionally one of the teams to beat locally. Both teams faired really well with the footballers impressing in the first half on what was a bitterly cold afternoon. The final score of 4-0 suggests a one-side match, but it was 0-0 until half time when Chiddingstone got behind the Fordcombe defence to score their first goal and then set up the victory. The netballers again performed really well and although losing 6-0, are looking more and more like a team that could challenge in the up-coming knock-out tournament at Edenbridge.
Many thanks to Tara Davies, Sophie Dean, Ade Tamkin and the small army of parents that transport the children to and from these events: it adds such a vibrancy to school life and shows that we really value sport and sporting endeavour.
